This August, we’re celebrating another year!
With 65% of companies unable to continue past 10 years of business, we hold tremendous gratitude towards our clients, partnerships, and team members for being vital parts in our continued success within the industry. We’re thrilled to still be here partnering with our clients each and every day, providing the right healthcare solutions so they can focus on what’s most important – their patients. Not only have we persevered well past this 10-year milestone, but we have maintained our independence by protecting ourselves from capital infusion and keeping our focus solely on our clients and their outcomes.
From day one we have focused on nurturing a culture that feels included, appreciated, and inspired to work together to make a real difference in the health and well-being of others. Our Elite Values (Excellence, Learning, Innovation, Trust, and Enthusiasm) have remained the same and are integrated into everything we do. Our team continues to redefine consulting and is committed to transforming healthcare for our clients by deploying tailored solutions that improve operational efficiencies and customer experience.
As we celebrate another anniversary, we are embarking on our newest evolution of Divurgent, where we have developed our “Next Gen” initiatives to serve our clients even better. Having reached this momentous stage of our development, we look back to appreciate our accomplished goals that have brought us to where we are today.
A Trip Down Memory Lane
2007 – 2012
In 2007, Divurgent was founded in Dallas, TX, by Colin Konschak and Philip Felt. Together, they were determined to create an organization dedicated to improving healthcare by delivering customized client-focused solutions that not only enhanced operational efficiencies for health systems but improved the lives of patients as well. Soon after gaining their first clients, Parkview Health and Sentara Healthcare, Divurgent quickly and successfully grew in size, by both number of team members and clients, and was named Modern Healthcare’s 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare for the first time in 2012.
2013 – 2017
Divurgent expanded rapidly, gaining clients across all of North America, and landed consecutively large scale and highly successful client partnerships. In 2015, the US Chamber of Commerce named Divurgent a Blue-Ribbon Award Winner, and in 2016, CEO Colin Konschak was a finalist for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Divurgent’s workforce grew significantly by 2017 and Modern Healthcare continued to recognize the firm as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare for 9 years, ranking 60 among 75 positions. For a fifth consecutive year, Divurgent was also ranked on Inc Magazine’s 5,000 list of fastest-growing privately held companies.
2018 – 2023
Divurgent continued to grow exponentially and introduced many new initiatives and solutions, including a Customer Experience Program, The Vurge podcast, a data and analytics approach to solve physician burnout, the Tobias AI chatbot, a COVID-19 Patient Outreach and Vaccine Support Solutions, and entered the healthcare payer market. In 2021, Divurgent executives began planning for a “Next Gen” phase of company growth and strategy. By 2022, this multi-year strategic Next Gen was set into motion, continuing the advancement and diversification of customer-centric offerings and solutions. Divurgent’s workforce grew to nearly 70 core team members and 500 consultants in 2022. In 2023, Modern Healthcare ranked the firm as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare for a 10th year.
The Future is Bright
The future of Divurgent is looking brighter than ever. We are always striving for opportunities to best serve our clients, and within the last year and a half, there have been huge strategic changes and initiatives planned by Divurgent executives to further drive success. To become even stronger client partners and leaders in digital acceleration, our team is focused on growing key areas. We are building enhanced methods and offerings for digital experiences, M&A services, data services, and human centered design in healthcare. We are also leading the industry in our implementation, staffing, service desk, and learning services. In the end, it’s all about bettering the lives of providers and patients, and we can’t wait to see where the future takes us all.
