The Challenge
Our client faced an imminent deadline for assessing their HIMSS’ Outpatient Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (O-EMRAM), a widely recognized maturity model.* Despite the pressing need to fulfill this requirement, the assessment components needed to fit within the senior leaders’ day-to-day priorities. To gain leadership buy-in, the technology team sought to demonstrate the necessity of focusing on maturity. The team pre-purchased assessment models, hoping to easily complete this task. However, they soon realized the need to resize their assessment package and repurpose their investment with the validating organization. Our client not only completed the assessment on time but achieved a Stage 7 maturity rating, the highest possible, earning recognition from HIMSS.
